AUG 20 – AB Surveying & Development (ABSD) has announced its plan to expand its surveying services beyond the Philippines, starting with its conference in Myanmar on Aug 23, 2018.

The surveying firm’s initial sortie to its fellow ASEAN country will focus on its LIDAR division, which the firm pioneered in the Philippines in 2016.

“Our South East Asian thrust is very much aligned with our company’s vision, which is to provide the latest technological advances in surveying solutions to aid in the development of its ASEAN neighbors” ABSD founder and general manager Antonio Botor said in a statement.

LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) technology, currently used by the country’s most advanced surveying company, features the use of multiple laser points in accurately mapping large areas. The breakthrough surveying method is also being used in real estate development, road network planning, forest planning, archaeological discovery and preservation, and many more applications.

“ABSD’s LIDAR scanning services provides up to 95% faster data gathering, laser accuracy versus the conventional method of surveying, at less cost.  The full appreciation of LIDAR’s use in our modern world is limited only by our imagination”, Botor added.
