Best for: Divides land into smaller lots for residential, commercial, or inheritance purposes.

Subdivision Survey

Subdivision survey means the division of a lot, tract, or parcel of land into two or more lots, plats, sites, or other divisions of land for the purpose, whether immediate or future, of sale, development and even division of properties between heirs. It includes re-subdivision and, when appropriate to the context, relates to the process of subdividing or to the land or territory subdivided.

(Commonly referred to as subdivision plotting) is the process of splitting a tract of land into smaller parcels. This shows monumentation and survey data on a map in conformance with local subdivision ordinance and the Subdivision Map Act. The subdivision ordinance gives standards for designating residential and commercial lots, roads (rights-of-way), parkland dedication, drainage and utility easements, and how city services will be extended to each lot. These standards are created to improve public health and safety
